When I first started using Twitter, I had no idea how to find the best logo and identity designers to follow. I knew some of the more well-know identity design bloggers were on Twitter, however there were many other people and resources that took months to discover.
The goal of the list below is to become a comprehensive resource of logo and identity design resources on Twitter. It will be updated frequently.
The list has been split into three categories.… Read more
This is a new series on Logobird where I will be posting a hand-selected roundup of the best logo and identity design related articles at the end of each month.
July has been an absolutely huge month packed with awesome posts about logo and identity design. Originally, 18 articles were on the short list, however in the interest of keeping it somewhat brief, I cut the list down to what I thought were the 12 very best.
The posts are… Read more
This is a somewhat belated review of one of my favourite design books published in the last 12 months, Logo Design Love: a guide to creating iconic brand identities, by David Airey.
I first purchased my copy of Logo Design Love back in January, however given that I have just read it for a second time I thought this was the perfect opportunity to post a brief review.

This post was written with the client in mind, however may also prove to be a useful resource for other designers.
To develop an effective brand identity for your business it is essential that you are proactively involved in the process from the start. A designer can’t possibly hope to design an effective logo without your input, which is why the very first step in a logo design process should always be the development of a detailed design brief.

If you are a blogger or an avid reader of blogs, you are probably well aware of the ongoing problems with the RSS subscription service, Feedburner.
While Feedburner has always had its problems, over the past few months the variations in Feedburner subscriber stats have been so erratic, they can no longer be trusted. I have seen subscriber counts fluctuate 50-70% on any given day. Many other bloggers have also reported on the same issues with huge Feedburner fluctuations.

In this post, I will share with you some of my favourite applications I use to run Logobird in a more efficient way.… Read more
Over the past few months my RSS feed reader of choice, Google Reader, has officially gone into meltdown. Well not the application itself, but more so my ability to manage the 412 blog subscriptions that I have “acquired” over time.
This is not the first time this has happened either. It was only about 6 months ago that the number of sites I was subscribing to crept up to a whopping 564. Mental chaos ensued, I then slowly peeled that… Read more
